Research & Surveys

We've created some special resources to help you promote and develop your business and benefit from your location in or near the North York Moors National Park.

2021 North York Moors Visitor Survey:
You can download an infographic covering the key findings of this survey here Please note, this should not be passed on to anyone else.

Points to look out for:
  • increased awareness and appreciation of the North York Moors National Park (use the correct name in your own marketing and it can benefit your business)
  • changing profile of visitors
  • visitor behaviour and motivations: the activities showing the strongest growth are cycling/mountain biking, visitor attractions, nature experiences and star-gazing. These have been a strong focus in North York Moors National Park marketing activity.
  • high satisfaction levels - both in terms of value for money and enjoyment

The beautiful unspoilt scenery, getting close to nature and wildlife, and peace and tranquillity are the most important factors when visiting the North - how can you use these in your own marketing?
