Dark Skies Festival 10th Anniversary - more ways to benefit

A fantastic and inspirational launch event at Sneaton Castle with Dame Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock last week also saw the North York Moors National Park premier a new Dark Skies anniversary film

Do take a moment to sit down with a brew and watch as we reflect on the last 10 years and what more we can do to reduce light pollution.

There's still time to enjoy the Dark Skies Festival so please do remember to tell your visitors all about it.

If you haven't already applied (it's free!) to be a Dark Skies Friendly business, you can do so here

You might also be able to apply for a grant to make your business even better - details here

Hi Susan

Please would you help me to become an accommodation provider in the dark
skies and also have me listed on the North York Moors accommodation.
Littlebeck has no light pollution at all, guests say that the stargazing is
absolutely amazing.

Also coast and complete have their accommodation promoted in the dark
skies. I would love to be able to do this too.

Please could you point me in the right direction? I believe I’ve sent an
email. I think it’s Phoebe?

I completed the dark skies application about two years ago and I’ve also
just completed it again. I have constellation charts printed out along with
stargazing for beginners book, I have binoculars and torches. I’ll take
photographs and send them to you..
Best wishes,

Michelle
