Opportunities to attract cyclists
Opportunities to attract cyclists to your business
The cycling (and walking) pages on North York Moors National Park, are amongst the most visited. It makes sense to showcase the best cycling opportunities in your area as part of your marketing activity.
Feature the National Park’s promoted cycle routes
Check out our promoted cycling routes, available on the Outdoor Active platform, now with a helpful public transport overlay, as well as on Komoot. You’ll find road cycling, mountain biking or leisurely off-road rides.
We’re also launching three new gravel explorer routes this week, which start from Sutton Bank National Park Centre, find the details here.
Help spread the word
Throughout June, the National Park’s social media channels will be highlighting top cycle routes, cycling events, and scenic rides. Keep an eye on Instagram and Facebook – share the content and add your own insights or tips too.
You don’t need to create content from scratch – the North York Moors already provides route descriptions, maps and more. Just pick a few routes that are close to you, add a personal note or recommendation, and link directly to them. You could feature one each week on your social media
Is your business cycling-friendly?
If your business welcomes cyclists, make it official by joining our activity-friendly programme. You can apply to use the cycling-friendly logo and be listed on the North York Moors website. It’s a great way to attract new visitors, especially those planning active holidays.
Promote upcoming major cycling events
Cycling events and sportive are outlined here, including the inaugural Chimney Bank hill climb challenge.
