About the North York Moors Tourism Network
A special partnership

We created the North York Moors Tourism Network to help support tourism and related businesses who want to capitalise on their location in or near the North York Moors National Park.
It's a supportive partnership between the Tourism Network and the National Park, working with over 600 businesses in the area. It's run on a mainly voluntary basis by Susan Briggs.
Who is the Network for? Who can join?
The Network is an informal network for tourism, hospitality, food and drink, and creative businesses. Membership is open to visitor-facing businesses in the North York Moors National Park, the Howardian Hills National Landscape and area on the fringes of the National Park. You don't need to be inside the National Park to benefit, but should be happy to send your visitors there, and want to help them enjoy the area as sustainably as possible. There's no charge to join.
What does the North York Moors Tourism Network do?
Susan writes a weekly update for participating businesses and runs tourism marketing and networking events for members. The scope of activity and projects depends on funding so varies at different times. Our focus is on:

How the North York Moors Tourism Network started
In 2012 Susan Briggs, The Tourism Network and Catriona McLees, North York Moors National Park developed a project to identify and showcase the area's sense of place, working together with over 100 businesses.
At the end of the project we decided to form the North York Moors Tourism Network, which Susan Briggs has continued to lead on a mainly voluntary basis. Since then we've worked on numerous successful projects together, focusing on sustainable tourism for the benefit of the local economy.
