Catriona McLees is Head of Promotion and Tourism at the North York Moors National Park Authority.
Her role is to raise the profile of the National Park and to encourage more people to visit and enjoy its special qualities.
Catriona was previously Sustainable Tourism Manager at Welcome to Yorkshire, where she responsible for encouraging businesses and visitors to take more action in the field of sustainable tourism and led several marketing campaigns including the Turner Trails and Yorkshire’s Great Outdoors.
Prior to this she managed a four year project for the Peak District National Park Authority, working with local businesses to develop new products and services which made use of the area’s environmental assets.

Emily Watson is Moor to Sea Project Administrator at the North York Moors National Park Authority.
This follows on from her role as Sea Life, See Life Project Coordinator with the National Park in 2016.
Alongside this role, Emily still works as a Visitor Centre Assistant at the Moors National Park Centre in Danby.
Before this she was a Wedding Co-ordinator at Danby Castle for approximately 5 years in between various world-wide trips/travelling!

Mike Hawtin is the Outdoor Activity Tourism Officer focussing on Nature, Cycling, Dark Skies as part of the Destination Partnership Moors and Dales project.
Mike has experience in running a successful cycle holiday and training course business with accommodation, operating in and around the North York Moors National Park for the past 10 years.
He has also worked locally for large organisations including Go Ape and Cycling UK helping to develop and market outdoor activities. In his spare time he chairs the volunteer group, Newbridge Park in Pickering who manage an area of previously neglected woodland having developed cycle trails, improved footpaths and reintroduced native tree and shrub species to create an area for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Prior to moving to this area Mike worked in marketing and product development for large technology and internet companies.

Amanda Brown runs A2BPR, specialising in destination and travel public relations. She is working with NYMNPA to raise awareness of the North York Moors area
She worked with NYMNPA on the previous “Sea Life, See Life” project and generated stories featuring places, attractions and businesses along the coast within an extensive range of media from national newspapers and magazines through to regional titles and blogs.

Susan Briggs is Director of The Tourism Network, a specialist consultancy focusing on tourism marketing, training and publishing. Susan has recently been commissioned by NYMNPA to work on the Business Support elements of the Moor to Sea CCF-funded project.
Susan also runs the North York Moors Tourism Network on a voluntary basis. She has worked with NYMNPA on two previous projects, "Sea Life, See Life" funded by the Coastal Communities Fund and a LEADER-funded sense of place project.
Susan also runs marketing campaigns and local distinctiveness projects in the Yorkshire Dales. She is author of several marketing textbooks and speaks regularly at tourism industry events. Before founding her consultancy business in 1990, Susan worked for specialist tour operators and incentive companies.
