Celebrating what makes the North York Moors special and different

We're working on a new project called "Moors & More", which has the simple aim of increasing revenue from tourism in the North York Moors and Howardian Hills area.

There's no charge to participate but you do need to join the North York Moors Tourism Network to benefit fully. It doesn't cost anything and will only take a few moments to sign up. Participating businesses will be able to access a wider range of marketing and other support resources.

The Moors & More Project is in three stages:
  1. workshops looking at what makes each area special and different - now complete
  2. development of a new marketing handbook and Local Distinctiveness Toolkit which will include copyright free images, video and content that everyone can use - click here for details
  3. product development workshops, one-one advice and work to develop new packages, experiences and ways for visitors to enjoy this special area - book your session now

Thanks to LEADER funding, this new project can benefit tourism, retail, creative, food and drink businesses within the North York Moors National Park, Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, parts of Redcar and Cleveland, and the northern part of the Vale of Pickering. The LEADER area map can be downloaded here . We reserve the right to restrict participation in the project by organisations, companies and individuals who we do not think will benefit from it in the way intended.
